Just a small phrase of Wikis "the free encyclopedia "is the announcement of the revolution of the learning world. During the last 5 years, educational institutions in Thailand including my school "Assumption College" had to spend a lot of money to buy encyclopedias in order that the students could search for knowledge. However, the limited budget meant the school could not provide enough encyclopedias for all the students. It did not include underprivileged schools which looked forward to receiving the encyclopedias as donation from charity organizations.
However, the schools where finance is available are able to support the best and most up -to-date set of encyclopedias for the students. Unfortunately, the contents from these encyclopedias were outdated because it took at least five year publishjng. This means that the information and knowledge does not come from events of the previous 5 years. The question is "How can the students learn new events?"

Hi Pei Dao !
ReplyDeleteIt's great. I think, nowadays teacher has many ways to search knowledge for teaching and advice the students in the right way like your topic.
it's more meaningful video . I learned "The change of thinking" from your topic ,thanks!
ReplyDeleteI like your example clip very much!
ReplyDeleteAs a teacher, this reminds me somethings I should focus more.
Wikis is one of my favourite place to start looking for informations I want. However, it's better to recheck those informaions again. .... But it's good to have Wikis as a starting point.
What a great video! It helped that the subtitles were in English. =) Sadly, this happens all around the world- if students are doing something different than what expected, they are not always appreciated for it.
ReplyDeleteI think that video symbolizes the complenceny of some educators to only pay attention to the usual agenda that they are used to following. The idea of thinking out of the box or to recognize new innovations is usually lacking. This then relates to the ides of how outdated and complacent encyclopedias really are, especially as wikis are becoming the new innovation.
ReplyDeleteI just watched this video. it is absolutely amazing and compelling. Thank you for posting it!
